lovely staff drink selection local vibe delicious beer garden
i had a super amazing time here! the staff were lovely and so informative about all the drink options. the pub is really lovely, it has a beautiful mix of students and locals. i will definitely be coming back soon! the beer garden is the most delicious in the area.
the room i stayed in was basic, though the cleanliness in the bar area could have been better. the carpet was a bit grubby.

a decidedly average stay

low water pressure musty aroma
The shower situation was laughable. You could barely call it a shower. the water pressure was non-existent, i swear a gentle rain had more force. then there was the matter of the room itself. It was like stepping back into a time capsule, and not in a good way. the decor was tired, and the whole place just had this slightly musty aroma, a symphony of neglect i wasn't particularly keen on

staff seemed friendly enough and the breakfast was decent.
the room felt outdated, i noticed several areas require maintenance. the bathroom fan made a loud noise that was really distracting at night and it seemed impossible to switch it off. it kept me awake.
